Linke Lifestyle
A friendly home for travel, making, memories and the things we learn along the way.
Welcome. We’re Michael and Mardi Linke. This is our place for practical travel notes, creative projects, useful guides, and the odd story from home, sea, airports and sewing rooms.
What this site is becoming
A slower, warmer, more useful corner of the internet.
Linke Lifestyle started as a travel site and is now growing into something broader. Travel is still here, especially cruising, packing and planning. But the site is also opening up to sewing, creativity, home life and the practical choices that make everyday living easier.
The aim is not perfection. It is usefulness. A clear tip. A real photo. A lesson from something that went wrong. A guide that saves someone else time.
Start here
Three good doors into Linke Lifestyle.
Travel notes
Planning, packing, airport lessons, accessibility observations and useful travel ideas drawn from real trips.
Browse travel stories →Cruise planning
Cabins, ports, packing, cruise lines, ship life and simple checklists to help make the next cruise easier.
Download the cruise planner →Sewing and making
A new direction for the site: sewing, fabric, projects, repairs, lessons and the joy of making something useful.
Follow the sewing shift →Featured paths
Keep the blog, but let the home page breathe.
Instead of making the home page a wall of recent posts, this version gives visitors a clear welcome and then points them to the main places they may want to go.
Cruising without the overwhelm
Practical notes on cabins, packing, drinks packages, ship routines and what to think about before you board.
Read cruise guides →The sewing chapter
As Linke Lifestyle shifts towards sewing, this can become the home for projects, patterns, tools and honest lessons.
See what’s new →Our places online
One family, a few useful sites.
This home page can also work as a friendly front door to the broader Linke world.

Let the blog do what blogs do.
The home page does not need to show every recent post. I’d keep one simple blog invitation here and let Squarespace’s blog page handle the current posts.
Welcome
Come in, have a look around.
Some pages will be practical, some personal, and some will simply record what we are learning. That is the point of Linke Lifestyle: a useful, human collection of things we enjoy, places we go, and ideas worth keeping.
